Finally…a Fun Halloween Show that Celebrates the Season Without Scaring Your Younger Students
Are you looking for a fun school assembly program for Halloween…that also encourages kids to read?!
Impossible? Not with my Not-So-Spooky Spectacular school assembly! Not only is this a fun and exciting school assembly for the Halloween season, but it’s perfect for all grade levels!
Kids LOVE Halloween. They love dressing up. They love the spooky imagery. But not everyone enjoys being frightened. That’s why I created this school show.
South Carolina School Assemblies Backed by Hundreds of Thrilled Schools
I’m South Carolina school assembly expert Tim Sonefelt. For over 20 years, my programs have thrilled clients in NC, SC, VA, TN, and GA. My clients trust me to deliver an amazing, fun, and educational experience to their students.
Check out these comments from a recent school client:
“Keep up the good work! As a media specialist, I loved the way you included where to find the books in the library.”
~ Gina Brown, Jamesville Elementary, Jamesville NC
But that’s far from the only one. Not by a long shot. Throughout this site, you’ll see more comments from thrilled clients. They prove that when it comes to effective school assemblies, I deliver everything I promise and more.
But I know what you’re thinking: “How can a Halloween school assembly be educational?”
How My Halloween School Assembly is Both Educational & Fun
Halloween is full of powerful, attention-getting imagery. But those stories have to come from somewhere. So I drew inspiration for my Halloween magic from several spooky, kid-friendly books.
The result is a fun-filled Halloween show that illustrates and brings to life characters, plots, and excitement from popular kids’ Halloween books. And that’s not all. As a ‘sub plot’ to this show, I encourage kids to use their school’s library to check out Halloween books and other fun resources. Speaking of resources, I also motivate your students to explore your library/media center’s resources.
So you’re getting the best of both worlds – the fun of Halloween and a gentle ‘nudge’ to bust out some great books available right in your school. While the main focus of the show is on fun, spooky magic, and interactive adventure, including some reading messages will thrill your school’s educators.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some schools just want fun. If you’d like me to skip the reading messages, just let me know.
Speaking of fun, you might be wondering…
What Your Students Will See & Experience During My Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Program
When your students enter the assembly area, they will be immediately captivated by the scenery. Colorful banners. A large, beautiful backdrop. Eye-catching props. The Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is a feast for the eyes!
And I use magic that ties in directly to the spooky theme…without being too scary. (After all, it’s right in the title of the program!)
Here are just a few examples of the magic your kids will see and join in during the show:
-
- Pumpkin Seeds – Kids discover a magical way to grow adorable multiple Jack Lanterns from a single seed! It’s visible, and surprising fun!
- Giant Wands – Sometimes magic doesn’t work as it should. So when I run into trouble trying to make a Halloween picture appear, I bring in bigger and bigger magic wands…ending with one so big, you’ll be amazed it even fits through the door!
- The Kid Mummy – Yup, as the name implies, I turn one of your students into a mummy! But it’s not gross. And they don’t go underground for a thousand years, either. It’s hysterical fun you gotta see to believe!
As you might imagine, this Halloween magic show is popular with schools and libraries. So popular, some clients want to bring it back year after year. For some performers, that might be a problem. After all, the kids have already seen the show.
But that’s not a problem for me. I have multiple versions of the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular school assembly. If you decide to bring this show back the following year, your kids will get an entirely different experience! They’ll see different magic, hear about different books, and enjoy different surprises.

Here Comes the Bad News
I’m blessed to be an incredibly busy performer. I offer school assemblies in North Carlina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Tennessee. With a territory that big, many of my prime dates book up months in advance. And October is a big month. Not just for Halloween, but schools want other topics that month.
I urge you to contact me TODAY while you’re thinking about it.
I look forward to visiting your school!
